Sandwich Day Cannabis Legislation with Cannabis Control Board Chair Tremaine Wright

Even though adult-use marijuana was legalized more than a year ago in the state, New York has just recently issued its first 36 cannabis dispensary licenses and plans to give priority to people with prior weed convictions. Get in the weeds with cultural liaison Dick Burroughs and the Chairperson of New York State’s Cannabis Control Board Tremaine Wright, as they take a sumptuous Brooklyn Sandwich Day tour and talk all things cannabis. Wright and Burroughs unpack the recent New York Cannabis legislation and legalization, while of course, eating some savory sandwiches from iconic local sandwich spots: Mama Louisa’s Hero Shop, The Crabby Shack and Brooklyn Hero Shop. Although you may have missed National Sandwich Day, there’s no missing out on Brooklyn’s bountiful array of yummy sandwiches.
